Our collection of Going the Distance memorabilia has recently gotten an injection of a few new items! In addition to a fun German film card advertising Drew & Justin Long’s 2010 movie, we also have 2 giant cardboard displays straight from the London premiere (big thanks to Katie for those!) and 2 little video store displays (much appreciated, Chris!).

By the way, we know things still have a winter chill around here, but we promise that a fun new look for spring will be here before you know it!

The first is a rarity featuring Drew & former flame Jamie Walters from Dutch magazine Hit Krant in 1992. We also have another magazine freebie, this time from Premiere. Are you ready for a screamingly fun update? Today we have all kinds of items relating to our favorite scary movie, Scream. Not only are there new pieces of memorabilia (including 2 blu-rays and some other miscellaneous things), but we also have a magazine from 1997 that devoted several pages to the film and printed 2 rather rare stills of our Drew as the doomed Casey Becker. Lastly, we have our latest bit of site recognition, as Ashley was credited in the fantastic documentary Still Screaming after providing rare photos to production.

Don’t forget that our March Movie Madness has moved on into round two. Scream didn’t make it past the first round, but be sure to make your picks out of the 8 films that did!

What are your favorite Drew Barrymore movies? Do you have mad love for Mad Love or scream over Scream? Well it’s time to let us and your fellow drewbies know what films rank the highest by voting in our March Movie Madness tournament! Round one begins today and voting will continue until March 19th. Then the 8 movies with the highest votes will move on to the next round and so on, until one of her movies is crowned the winner at the end of the month. Have fun making your picks!

Today we have some fun photos for you to see from Drew’s time as a child star. Besides 8×10 press photos for Irreconcilable Differences and The Adventures of Con Sawyer & Hucklemary Finn, we also recently obtained a rare 5×7 photo of tiny D signing autographs at the 1983 Golden Globe Awards. Enjoy!

We’ve started a page for this year’s magazines and put up scans of the few periodicals Drew appeared in while promoting Big Miracle. Hopefully 2012 will continue to expand! In the meantime, maybe we should get cracking on filling in the other years we’re still missing from our archives?

For the past 37 years, Drew Barrymore has been brightening up the world with her beautiful spirit. As always, we send the most heartfelt birthday wishes her way! We love you, Drew!

Have you guys been enjoying the constant stream of new Drew that’s been coming out during all of her promotion for Big Miracle? We’re doing our best to keep up with everything and make sure you’re getting wind of it via our Facebook & Twitter accounts. Today we’re taking a brief break from all that and going back 20+ years to a teenage Drew Barrymore’s appearances in magazines from 1990 and 1992. We also finally snuck in the few mags from last year – better late than never! We hope to continue this trend of sharing magazines on the site. Not only will we post what has already come out in 2012, but we also plan to fill in some of our missing years!

Today we celebrate the 6th anniversary of the grand opening of The Drewseum! We can’t believe that we’ve been online for that many years. In the time since we debuted, the site has grown and evolved in so much, and we are really happy with what it’s become. We wouldn’t be able to do it without the support of so many people – we appreciate you all from the bottom of our hearts! We plan on sticking around and being the web’s most unique & fun Drewbie hub for many more years to come!
